Quality and Food Safety Policy

Equanto SA is committed to producing and marketing food products that consistently meet stringent quality, nutritional and organoleptic standards, and which are produced in accordance with the highest safety standards and in full compliance with Good Quality and Food Safety Practices in its operations.

Equanto SA conducts its business responsibly, in accordance with its internal code of conduct, ethical principles and a commitment to sustainable development, whilst respecting the needs of individuals, society and the environment.

The company aims to be a market leader with its own brands in healthy eating and organic products that meet the needs and expectations of its customers.

To this end, the objectives are:

• To promote a culture of food safety, underpinned by internal food safety policies that encourage staff to get involved and develop their skills, as well as raising their awareness of the importance of adopting ethical behaviour and good professional practices.

• Ensure the authenticity of raw materials by sourcing raw materials and ancillary materials from selected and approved suppliers, in accordance with established requirements, inspection and control procedures upon receipt, and implemented traceability procedures.

• Focus on improving production processes, technological development and new product development in order to respond to market changes and developments, whilst ensuring quality in line with customer requirements, thereby achieving greater customer/consumer satisfaction and meeting their expectations.

• Supply safe food, ensuring customer loyalty and satisfaction.

• Maintain active communication with all stakeholders (suppliers, customers and statutory/regulatory authorities), with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Adopt good environmental practices by raising awareness amongst staff and implementing internal procedures for material recycling and waste management.

• Contribute to the promotion of sustainable development principles, balancing economic growth with environmental protection and social responsibility, including future generations, thereby ensuring sustainability.

• Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the company’s activities.

The company’s management promotes the internal dissemination of the Food Safety and Quality Policy, so that all employees are involved and take responsibility for the impact of their tasks on the Food Safety Management System. Similarly, the management ensures that the Food Safety and Quality Policy is communicated to all external stakeholders.
